Leotec's professional air quality detector monitors indoor CO2 levels and checks temperature and humidity. A color chart is displayed on the LCD screen. The alarm function warns of excessive gas levels in the room. The CO2 meter works on batteries, but can also be connected via a USB cable.
With this professional measurement technology, you can identify possible air killers at home and in the office and eliminate sources of error. The detector includes the air quality in a measuring range of 400-5000 ppm (parts per million).
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is formed from the chemical combination of oxygen and carbon. It is a by-product of cellular respiration in living things and occurs naturally in the air in certain amounts. At the same time, it is separated as a waste product when, for example, gas, oil, coal or wood are burned.
Up to 1000 ppm = harmless
1000 - 2000 ppm = Conspicuous
2000ppm = Dangerous
1000 - 2000 ppm = Conspicuous
2000ppm = Dangerous
Concentrations above 100,000 ppm will cause unconsciousness and tremors. Values of more than 250,000 ppm become deadly, as the high concentrations in the body either behave like poison or displace oxygen from the bloodstream.
