Parapsychologists Venkman (Bill Murray), Spenger (Harold Ramis) and Stantz (Dan Aykroyd) hunt down evil spirit demons. Director Ivan Reitman's fun led to a sequel and other remakes, cartoon series and comics, won a large fan base not only in the 80s with his refreshing sayings and successful effects, including the cool theme by Ray Parker Jr or the famous logo shield contributed.

The iconic "ECTO-1" emergency vehicle became famous through the Ghostbusters films. It was a rarely built ambulance at the time and only 200 were made. The name derives from the term ectoplasm.
